A popular women's clothing retailer has committed to keeping women and girls in need across Canada warm this winter.

Aritzia announced it will be giving away 1,000 Super Puff winter coats to women and girls across Canada, according to an Aritzia press release.

The company is partnering with the YWCA Canada and Big Sisters B.C. to distribute the coats this winter, as a part of their commitment to supporting organizations that help women and girls.

Aritzia said it has contributed more than $32 million in product donations, financial support and volunteer hours to non-profits and company partners, impacting more than 300,000 women.

The company said it has also donated custom-developed clothing packages to frontline healthcare workers in Canada and select U.S. locations. Aritzia said it invested $10 million into the program, resulting in gifts to 100,000 frontline health care heroes.
