DEADLINES RANGE FROM FEB. 6 TO APRIL 26
KAMLOOPS - It's the largest arts event in Kamloops, and the biggest one-day event of the year. Artists and artisans who wish to show and sell their work at Art in the Park on Canada Day 2016 are encouraged to submit their applications now.
More than 90 artists and artisans will display handcrafted and original work at the event, from painting and pottery to fashion and jewellery. New for 2016 is a Specialty Foods and Health & Body Products category.
Registration for individual artists, food/health & body products, and community arts groups is available online at www.kamloopsarts.ca. Applications are juried by a selection committee, and deadlines are as follows:
- Individual Artists / Vendors: apply by Feb. 6 (for earlybird rate) or March 26 (final deadline). Notification will be provided by April 8, 2016.
- Community Arts Groups: apply by April 26.
Art in the Park is organized by the Kamloops Arts Council as part of the City of Kamloops Canada Day celebrations at Riverside Park. The full day of arts exhibitions and sales, demos and performances is free to the public. Approximately 30,000 people attend the event each year.
