A dreary weekend ahead for the Okanagan

The clouds and showers will be back on the weekend after a brief respite tomorrow, April 21, 2017.

OKANAGAN - Best to keep the umbrella handy because the rain will be back this weekend in the Okanagan after a short respite tomorrow.

Environment Canada says the periods of rain will end around noon today, April 20, with a 60 per cent chance of showers this afternoon and evening with a high of 13 Celsius. Between 5 to 10 mm of rain is expected today in the valley. Overnight, it will be mainly cloudy with a low of 4 C.

The sun will come out tomorrow with the forecast calling for a mix of sun and cloud, and a high of about 17 C. It will be clear overnight with a low of 5 C.

Saturday will be cloudy with a high of 15 C. Overnight, though, there is a 60 per cent chance of showers with a low of 5 C.

More of the same on Sunday with a 40 per cent chance of showers and a high of 15 C and an overnight low of 6 C.

The forecast into Monday and Tuesday calls for clouds, showers and highs around 15 C.

Normal temperatures at this time of year are highs of about 16 C and lows around 4 C.
