Squamish RCMP are seeking the public's help to find out who is responsible for cutting the cable on the Sea to Sky Gondola on two occasions and a new reward offered by the company may help.

The Sea to Sky Gondola LP is now providing a $250,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of the individual or individuals responsible for cutting the cable on Sept. 14, as well as a prior incident on Aug. 10, 2019.

The gondola cables were cut around 4 a.m. on Sept. 14. Police are urging anyone with video footage of the Sea to Sky Highway north and south of the gondola location from Sept. 13 at 8 p.m. to Sept. 14 at 2 p.m. to contact police.
