Officials are ticked off by the vandalism of a $3,000 outhouse in the Bear Creek area off Westside Road.
Local conservation officer Sgt. Josh Lockwood says the facility was discovered this spring, blasted by gun shots and clearly out of commission.
"The facility was destroyed by someone shooting 30 rounds into the toilet," Lockwood says.
He's sad to see something that was given to the public for their benefit and convenience be vandalized.
"This will be investigated," Lockwood says. "(It's) willful damage, public mischief, and costing the forest service and taxpayers $3000."
"Fortunately, nobody was in it."
Funds for a replacement could stem from fines against individuals driving ATVs without insurance ($345).
Lockwood says active patrols will be covering the area's recreation sites over the long weekend, watching for illegalities.
