    KELOWNA - Starting Monday, March 16, the City of Kelowna’s Memorial Park Cemetery gates will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week until October 31.

    To allow for grounds maintenance during this time, only fresh cut flowers, wreaths or other natural floral offerings shall be placed on grave sites within lawn areas.

  • CNG fleet innovation coming to Kamloops

    KAMLOOPS – The future of Kamloops Transit will be driven by one of British Columbia’s most important resources: natural gas. The City of Kamloops will be home to a Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) transit fleet, advancing the quality of public transportation for families and the region. A total of 25 new CNG buses will be in service by the spring of 2015.

    Compared to diesel, the primary benefit of CNG buses is lower, more stable fuel prices.
  • West Kelowna Meetings with Ministers at UBCM

    Crown Land grants, roads maintenance, a second crossing over Okanagan Lake and new approaches to federal gas tax funding distribution were the topics of West Kelowna Council’s scheduled meetings Tuesday, September 17 with provincial government representatives at the Union of BC Municipalities convention. Mayor Doug Findlater says West Kelowna Council was able to raise key concerns during their face-to-face meetings with BC cabinet ministers and representatives in Vancouver, BC.
