  • Blasting Permit Extended at Tallus Heights Drive

    A blasting permit has been extended to accommodate the development of 20 lots as part of Phase 9 of the Tallus Ridge neighbourhood located at the south end of Tallus Heights Drive.

  • Okanagan Water Board announces funding for conservation projects

    Kelowna, B.C. – The Okanagan Basin Water Board (OBWB) has approved $300,000 in funding to 17 projects that will help conserve and improve the quality of water in the valley.  Directors approved the Water Conservation and Quality Improvement (WCQI) Grants at their regular board meeting on Tuesday, April 5.  In all, there were 25 applications with a total ask of $467,348.
  • Blasting in Tallus Ridge area of West Kelowna

    The City of West Kelowna is advising the public that blasting activity related to subdivision construction at 2405 Tallus Green Crescent will commence on April 10, 2017 and continue for approximately six weeks.

    A blasting permit has been issued to T & A Rock Works Inc. for site blasting for multi-family site development.

    Blasting will be permitted Monday to Friday, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
  • Use extreme caution on local roads and walkways

    WEST KELOWNA - A blast of winter followed by an expected rapid shift in weather patterns, have crews advising motorists and pedestrians to be cautious on local roads and walkways.

    Reports from throughout the province show crews dealing with a multitude of conditions between higher and lower elevations including rain at lower elevations, freezing rain at mid-level altitudes and snow in the mountains.
  • Blasting Activity to Continue for Tallus Ridge/Shannon Lake Area

    The City of West Kelowna is advising the public that blasting activity related to subdivision construction in the Tallus Ridge area will be extended to March 31, 2017.

    A blasting permit, originally beginning October 24, 2016, has been extended for TT Contractors Ltd. for site blasting for Tallus Ridge Stage 8 on Paramount Drive in West Kelowna.

    Blasting will be allowed Monday to Saturday, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

    KAMLOOPS - On Oct. 4, 2016 crews conducted the final large scale rock-clearing blast, marking a significant construction milestone on the Trans-Canada Highway four-laning project located approximately 40 kilometres east of Kamloops.
