PENTICTON - Penticton RCMP are investigating the discovery of a body near the Skaha Lake Marina this morning.
Penticton RCMP spokesperson Const. James Grandy said in a press release police responded to a report of a body on the shoreline of Skaha Lake near the marina around 7 a.m. today, Sept. 4.
Emergency personnel responded and found a deceased woman in her 50s.
The cause of death is not suspicious, police say.
“The general investigative section along with general duty and the B.C. Coroners Service are currently investigating. Out of respect for the family, no further information will be released,” Grandy said in the release.
