West Kelowna police call weekend shooting 'targeted'

WEST KELOWNA – A 29-year-old Okanagan man was taken to hospital with a gunshot wound on the weekend.

On July 15, West Kelowna RCMP were called to Old Okanagan Highway where they found a man who had been shot once in the leg.

Cpl. Dan Moskaluk doesn’t say in a media release where on Old Okanagan Highway, but he does give a description of two suspects.

Police are looking for a Caucasian man with an athletic build and short, dark hair as well as a 5'6" tall Caucasian female with brown hair.

“The suspects departed in an older model SUV.  Police believe this was a targeted attack,” Moskaluk says in the release.

Anyone with information should contact Cst. Darren Hoult with the West Kelowna RCMP General Investigation Section at 250-768-2880 or via Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
