Canadian Cancer Society
Gift Wrapping Volunteers – This December the local Kamloops Unit of the Canadian Cancer Society will be providing Gift Wrap by Donation at Aberdeen Mall for the entire month. As you can imagine, it takes hundreds of volunteers to make this program successful. We need your help! Donations of time are just as valuable as donations of money, and we would be so grateful for a gift of your time for a four-hour shift. 16+ to volunteer, and family volunteering friendly. Out of the Cold Program
Out of the Cold Volunteers - The Out of the Cold Program is looking for volunteers on Wednesdays & Sundays from Nov. 01, 2015 to Mar. 31, 2016. This program provides warm meals and shelter for the homeless men & women of Kamloops. Duties: registration, distribution of clothing, helping to prepare hot meals, serving, bed making, and clean-up. 250-318-0236 or 250-573-3430

Operation Red Nose
ORN Volunteers - Operation Red Nose is a designated driving service where volunteers drive clients and their vehicles home during the holidays. Volunteer positions include: drivers (21+ to volunteer), escort drivers, navigators (19+ to volunteer); office volunteers: dispatch, phone operators, greeters (16+ to volunteer). Times: 9 p.m. - 3 a.m. Dates are: Fri., Nov. 27 – Sat., Nov. 28; Fri., Dec. 4 – Sat., Dec. 5; Fri., Dec. 11 – Sat., Dec. 12; Fri., Dec. 18 – Sat., Dec. 19; Sat., Dec. 26; Thurs., Dec. 31. 250-320-0650

Wildlife Park
Family Farm Assistants - The Wildlife Park is in need of volunteers to assist our zookeepers in maintaining a safe environment at our Home Hardware Family Farm for their 18th Annual Wildlights Festival from Dec. 11, 2015 to Jan. 03, 2016. The volunteers will be interacting with park guests as they interact with our goats! Volunteers will also be keeping the barn area clean. Hamlets at Westsyde
Recreation Volunteer - The Hamlets provides assisted living and complex care services for seniors and young adults with acquired brain injuries. Volunteers are needed for one-to-one visits, special events, program support, walk and roll visits, helping staff with outings, and the buddy program. 16+ to volunteer. Salvation Army - Thrift Store
Thrift Store Volunteers - Volunteers are needed for sorting, pricing, setting up displays, hanging clothes, organizing clothing racks, greeting customers and helping with their purchases. Schedules are set up in a way that works best for the volunteer and the agency. 16+ to volunteer. 250-376-1110

Canadian Mental Health Association - Kamloops
Donation Pick-up Volunteers - The volunteers will be transporting donations to the Clubhouse approximately twice a month. Duties: loading, unloading and transporting donations. The volunteer drivers must have a truck and valid BC driver’s license, and a flexible schedule is required. Mileage is paid at 0.52 cents/km. 19+ to volunteer. 250-374-0440 Ext: 107

John Howard Society
Workshop Volunteers - The John Howard Society is seeking volunteers who have a particular skill, talent, or specialty that might be of interest to our clientele to facilitate classes. Some examples: cooking, sewing, recreation (sports), traditional art (bead work, leather work), education, travel (slideshows), and health (diabetes training), etc. 19+ to volunteer. Volunteer Bus Drivers - Ridgeview Lodge is in need of volunteer bus drivers to drive their 14 passenger, wheel chair accessible bus for outings for their recreational programs approximately 2 times a month. Overlander Ski Club
Various Positions - Groomers: Must hold a valid BC's drivers license and be flexible with hours to operate machinery according to weather conditions. Trail Maintenance: Must be in good physical condition. May need to know chain saw operation or be able to pull seedlings, trim shrubs and brush from trails. Loppet Volunteers: Aid Station Attendants, Parking Attendants and Refreshment Assistants. 16+ to volunteer. 250-578-7925

Brocklehurst Gemstone Care Centre
