KELOWNA - We may be old, but we're still growing,

According to figures released by Statistics Canada today, Feb. 10, Kelowna's population is growing faster than in any other metropolitan city in Canada,

From June 2014 to June 2015 the number of Kelowna residents grew by 3.1 per cent, beating all other cities in the country for growth, including Vancouver, which has a population of 2.5 million.

According to the national census, the area between Peachland and Lake Country has a population of 197,000.

Young people make up only 13.7 per cent of the population, however those 65 and older make up 20.6 per cent, making Kelowna also the most elderly city in B.C.
