KELOWNA - The skating rink at Stuart Park will close for the season at 11 a.m. today.
“With warmer daytime temperatures and sunny days we have experienced several afternoon closures since February 18,” said Steve Fagan, Arenas and Stadiums Supervisor. “Skater safety is a priority and the ice has become too thin to continue.”
Arena staff will begin cutting down the ice surface this afternoon in preparation for removal on Wednesday.
Those looking to skate can continue by visiting other indoor skating facilities, including Memorial Arena, Rutland Arena and the Capital News Centre during public skating times.
