VIDEO: Drone footage shows devastating impact of Interior wildfire

PRESSY LAKE - Drone footage showing an aerial view of the damage done to the Pressy Lake and Little Pressy Lake areas by wildfire has been released.

Thompson-Nicola Regional District information officer Debbie Sell says now that property owners have had the chance to look at the video, it's been released publicly.

The drone flew over the Pressy Lake and Little Pressy Lake areas on Aug. 26, located northwest of Kamloops, according to a media release.

"Our thoughts go out to all of the property owners that have been impacted by this devastating fire," Sell says in the release.

The Elephant Hill fire which originated near Ashcroft has ballooned to more than 186,000 hectares and is 50 per cent contained.
