Florida MERS patient still has fever; About 20 hospital workers being monitored for the virus

ORLANDO, Fla. - Hospital officials in Orlando say a Saudi resident with the second U.S. case of a mysterious virus still has a fever but is in good spirits.

Officials at Dr. Phillips Hospital said Tuesday that the Saudi resident still has a low-grade fever and is being treated in isolation for MERS, or Middle East Respiratory Syndrome.

Dr. Antonio Crespo says they are awaiting test results on two hospital workers who may have come into contact with the 44-year-old man.

About 15 other workers at Dr. Phillips Hospital, as well as five workers at a second Orlando hospital where the Saudi resident visited, have been asked to stay home from work for two weeks until they are cleared of having the virus.

Those workers so far don't have the virus.
