FOUL PLAY NOT SUSPECTED

KAMLOOPS - Search and Rescue members along with the Kamloops RCMP have found the body of a woman who had been missing since Sunday.

Lyla 'Jeannie' Brace, 47, was last seen at her home on Sunday evening, Aug. 30. Her vehicle was found abandoned in the Juniper area last night, Aug. 31.

Alan Hobler with Kamloops Search and Rescue says 14 members searched the area last night until about 3 a.m. and were back at 7 a.m. today.

Brace's body was found around 10 a.m. today, Sept. 1. Hobler says there is no evidence of foul play.

Ten members from the local area along with ten members from across the region searched the Juniper Ridge area today. Hobler says the RCMP helicopter assisted with the search.

The investigation has been turned over to the B.C. Coroners Service.
