October 05, 2016 - 1:14 PM

COURTENAY, B.C. - A man and woman have been found dead in a Vancouver Island home.

RCMP Const. Rob Gardner says the victims were found early Wednesday in a home in Courtenay, B.C.

He confirms the bodies were located as police responded to reports of a shooting.

Two other men, one of them suffering from a gunshot wound, have been taken into custody.

Gardner did not have an update on the condition of the injured man but says the victims knew their attackers.

No names have been released and Gardner says investigators expect to remain at the scene for some time.
