A powerline caught by a semitruck in downtown Kamloops today caused a bit of a stir around lunchtime today.
The line draped across Columbia Street between 7th and 8th Avenue and across a resident's front yard around 1:30 this afternoon.
Kamloops Fire Department on scene said only one house was affected by the power outage, but that the line coming into close contact with the metal fence was hazardous due to it's conductive properties.
Traffic has been detoured around the incident. The situation expected to take about 20 minutes to clean up.
