KAMLOOPS — The president and vice chancellor of Thompson Rivers University is looking for people to help him decide what is important to the growth of the university over the next five years.
Alan Shaver has put out a call for nominations for the Strategic Priorities Advisory Committee in the hopes that students, faculty, staff and members of the community will step forward in by Sept. 13.
The previous plan covered 2007-2012 and while the plan helped influence the core strengths and practices of the university, Shaver hopes the next plan, which should be in place by the end of the year, will continue with this work while providing an overarching context for many other plans such as the Academic, Strategic Research and Campus Master plans.
There will be consultations, committee and council meetings, town halls and other gatherings in addition to online and social media conversations before the plan is rolled out in January.
