KAMLOOPS - A man accused of assaulting a senior who later died of his injuries will face trial this fall.

Jeffery Harris of Lillooet, B.C. was taken into custody shortly after 61-year-old Gary Manseth died from serious injuries arising from an assault Feb. 10, 2015.

Harris is charged with second degree murder.

The case was approved for trial in December after a preliminary inquiry at Kamloops Provincial Court determined there was sufficient evidence for the case to move to Kamloops Supreme Court.

The trial will run for the first two weeks of October.
