KAMLOOPS - A second bike repair station is missing and the city is hoping someone can help locate them.

The City of Kamloops installed bike repair stations along main bike commuter and recreational routes last year and now two are missing. The first was discovered missing from McArthur Island yesterday, Jan. 27, and a second one at Riverside Park was found missing today.

"We share the public's concern with this regrettable situation and appreciate their help by spreading the word through social media," the city's sustainability services supervisor Glen Cheetham says in a media release. "If anyone observed suspicious activity around the two missing repair stations please contact the RCMP."

The stations offer tools for basic tuneups, including wrenches, hex keys and a bike pump.

Another station is located at the main lot at Kenna Cartwright Park.

If you have any information on the thefts, contact Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 to remain anonymous.
