KAMLOOPS - Thanks to public feedback, drivers accessing the new Royal Inland Hospital parkade can now pay in advance and with a mobile app.
The current "gated pay on exit" system will be replaced with a "gateless pay on entry or pay in advance system," according to a release from the Interior Health Authority.
Drivers estimate their parking time and enter their licence plate number as they arrive and make payment at one of four pay stations.
This system is similar to the system previously used for public parking at Royal Inland Hospital, the release says.
PayByPhone, a parking app that allows users to make payment to add to time via mobile device, is also being implemented.
Signage and pamphlets will be available. A parking ambassador will be on site to help users with the new system.
