That's a wrap: Production of Nicolas Cage movie in South Okanagan changing locations

Filming for the movie, "The Humanity Bureau" took place earlier this week on the former Weyerhaeuser property in Okanagan Falls.

OKANAGAN FALLS - The film crew shooting the movie The Humanity Bureau starring Nicolas Cage is wrapping up production at a location in Okanagan Falls.

Greyback Construction president Larry Kenyon says a production crew set up on the former Weyerhaeuser Mill property in Okanagan Falls earlier this week to film a sequence for the movie. His company is working to develop the property.

Along with Cage, the film stars Sarah Lind of cult film Wolfcop, child actor Jakob Davies from If I Stay and Canadian actor Hugh Dillon who’s known for his work on the TV show Flash Point, in film in Hard Core Logo and as lead singer of the Headstones, according to an Okanagan Film Commission media release.

The movie is a science fiction action film with the tagline “in the near future our government will decide who is expendable."

Kenyon says he believes production at the Okanagan Falls location has wrapped up or will wrap up today, Dec. 8. The production crew will be relocating to another part of the South Okanagan, with filming expected to take a few more weeks.

Cage has been spotted several times in the South Okanagan, including during a shopping trip to the Buy-Low Foods in Osoyoos.
