Teen urinated on during alleged assault at party say RCMP

TEEN BEATING AT ENDERBY PIT PARTY ENDS WITH VICTIM COVERED IN URINE

North Okanagan cops are taking an act of bullying very seriously.

The assault reportedly took place last Saturday at a "pit party" off Watershed Rd. in Enderby.

"Allegations are that 16-year-old boy was physically assaulted then he was urinated on as well during this ordeal," RCMP spokesperson Gord Molendyk said.

A number of other students were in close proximity while the alleged assault took place and the police are speaking to them.

Two suspects aged 17 and 18 years have been arrested for assault.

They have since been released on a promise to appear and an undertaking to appear in court at a later date.

"The RCMP is working with the principal of the high school on this case so they are aware of the allegations and can continue to work with all students that may have been affected by this incident," Molendyk said.

Police are continuing with their investigation of this case and the school liaison officer for the school is also involved with school officials and students.

"We are taking this very seriously," Molendyk said. "Unfortunately, you can't go a week without hearing of an incident of bullying."
