Stabbing victim targeted

VERNON - Police say a man is recovering after a stabbing that happened in the 4000 block of 27A Street last night.

Vernon RCMP was told of the crime at about 7:30 p.m and found the man, 42, injured inside his home. He was taken by ambulance to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. 

Several suspects were likely involved in the assault, who police say forced their way into the home, looking for the victim.

The investigation continues.
