Spring-like weather arriving for last weekend of winter in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS - The forecast is calling for a mild weekend ahead with showers on Saturday.

Today, March 16, Kamloops can look forward to a mix of sun and cloud with a high of 8 Celsius, according to Environment Canada, with a some wind this afternoon. The temperature will drop to 1 C overnight.

Tomorrow we'll see a mix of sun and cloud, and a light breeze. A high of 9 C is expected. Overnight, clouds will roll in as the mercury drops to 5 C.

The weekend is going to start off a bit damp, as showers are predicted Saturday, along with clouds, but temperatures will remain spring-like at 10 C. Overnight the clouds and showers will clear up with a low of -2 C.

Sunday it’ll warm back up to 10 C with a mix of sun and cloud overhead. In the evening it’ll drop again to the negatives, with a low of -1 C for the city.

Next week the daytime warming trend will continue, with highs in the low teens and mostly sunny days. Night time temperatures are forecast to drop to around the freezing mark.

Seasonal normal temperatures for this time of year in Kamloops are highs around 11 C and lows of about -1 C.
