Snowbird pilots to hold a meet and greet session in Penticton

PENTICTON - Snowbirds crew members will be getting up close and personable with Penticton residents while they aren't in the air next week.

The Royal Canadian Air Force's Snowbirds will be performing their airborne acrobatics on Wednesday, August 5 in a 40 minute show which begins at 6 p.m., but crew members will be in the parking lot of the Penticton Lakeside Resort and Casino on Monday for an autograph and picture taking session from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The pilots will also be at the Main Stage at Okanagan Lake Park just prior to the Barney Bentall concert on Wednesday.

The popular Snowbirds squadron last performed in Penticton in August of 2013.

Organizers caution performance may be hindered if boaters do not maintain distance from marshalled off areas of the south end of Okanagan Lake. For more information contact Snowbird Committee chair Fred Trainor at 250-490-6434.
