KELOWNA - A fight inside a downtown pub last night left several people injured but charges are not currently being recommended, according to RCMP.
Just before 10 p.m., March 3, RCMP were called to a fight in progress at a pub in the 1600-block of Ellis Street. Chairs were reportedly flying through the room and one person was thrown into a window, according to witnesses.
All of the people in the fight left the scene prior to police arriving, Const. Jesse O’Donaghey says in a release, but three of them were found in a vehicle near Harvey Avenue and Kischner Road. Two of the occupants, a 31-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man, both of Kelowna, were treated for minor injuries.
RCMP have since spoken to witnesses and watched surveillance video, which shows as many as five people pushing and punching each other. O’Donaghey says charges are not being recommended at this time.
