WEST KELOWNA - A car crash on the Okanagan Connector Saturday afternoon claimed the life of a man and seriously injured a woman.

Emergency crews, including a B.C. Ambulance helicopter, responded to the crash between the Pennask Summit and the Brenda Mine Road exit at about 2:45 p.m.

A truck rolled 50 metres down a steep embankment with two people inside, according to Global Okanagan.

The man died at the scene while the woman was airlifted to Kelowna General Hospital with critical injuries.

RCMP haven't released the names of the victims or where they are from.
