PENTICTON - She was tempted to run for Pentction mayor but after taking some time to reflect, Coun. Judy Sentes has decided to seek re-election instead.
With three council seats definitely empty going in to the race, Sentes says it’s important for there to be a mix of experienced and new councillors around the table.
Coun. Andrew Jakubeit and Coun. John Vassilaki have both announced they will be running for mayor. Counc. Wes Hopkin isn't seeking re-election.
Sentes wants to continue to grow off the foundation the outgoing council has created for a “vibrant, innovative, adventurous waterfront city focused on sustainability, community and economic opportunity.”
“The glass is indeed ‘half full’ for the City of Penticton and I will offer my commitment, dedication, approachability, and honest history,” she says.
