Following a tumultuous year, the membership of the Rutland Park Society has elected their new Board of Directors at their Annual General Meeting held on October 27th, 2016.

Joining sole remaining officer of the previous board, Treasurer Wendi Swarbrick, are Ross Kulak as the new President, Dawn Theissen as Vice President, David Buckna as Secretary. Joining them are Bob Dhanwant, Traci Savel, Suhkdev Goraya, Steve Swarbrick and Chase Jestley as Directors at Large.

Dhanwant, Swarbrick and Jestley previously served as interim directors following the resignation of the prior board last summer.

“We have seen a great influx of members and support from our community over the past few months,” says newly- elected president Ross Kulak. “We are looking forward to a positive year moving forward and are anticipating beginning renovations on Centennial Hall right away.”

Along with the new board, the Rutland Park Society has launched a brand-new website, which will feature updates on coming events, the Community Market, Centennial Hall and, of course, the 58th Annual May Days celebration.

“We are all looking forward to a great year with lots of great activities for the entire community,” added Kulak.
