LAKE COUNTRY - A famed Canadian singer-songwriter critics have said has the ability to 'map the human heart with surgical skill and great compassion' will play a show in the Okanagan this spring.

Ron Sexmith will play to 300 people at Winfield Memorial Hall in Lake Country on May 13, 2017, according to a release from the District of Lake Country.

Tickets are $39 and go on sale tomorrow, Feb. 25 at 10 a.m.

The tour begins in Meaford, Ont., travels across the country, landing in western Canada and ending over the pond in the United Kingdom.

Sexmith will be playing songs from his twelfth album, The Last Rider.

“I think my sound has always been a combination of the folk singers and British Invasion artists I’ve always admired,” he says in the release. “At this point, it’s just second nature for me to write short, melodic songs that say everything you want to say. But having my band totally involved on this album maybe brought out more in the songs than on other recent albums. It felt special, anyway.”
