KELOWNA - The band Lynyrd Skynyrd will make Kelowna their sweet home for one night to share more than 41 years of southern rock with fans.

The show takes place March 19, 2015 with tickets going on sale Dec. 12 at 1 p.m.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers rose to prominence in 1973 with their cocky, boisterous, hard rock and open-ended blues. Their signature song "Freebird" complete with its fiery, five-minute, three-guitar solo is one the most requested live songs in existence, according to a media release.

In their 41 years together, the band has created a catalogue of 60 albums with sales beyond 30 million worldwide, including their classic American rock anthem "Sweet Home Alabama".

Tickets for the concert cost $50.25, $79 and $93 and are available at www.selectyourtickets.com, by phoning 250-762-5050 or at the Prospera Place box office. The price includes taxes and service charges.
