KAMLOOPS - One of the city’s major road construction plans has fallen behind schedule.
The Grasslands Boulevard project, which will provide another route into Westsyde, is temporarily on hold, according to a city press release. Construction was scheduled to take place over this summer, but the project now won't go out for tender until the end of summer or fall. Completion for the project is now expected in spring 2017.
The delays were caused by challenges at the site and the final design of the road.
The project will connect Grasslands Boulevard between Woodrush Drive and Cantle Drive, providing access to Westsyde via Batchelor Heights.
