PRINCE GEORGE - RCMP have arrested a suspect in connection to a series of shootings on Highway 97, west of Prince George.

The suspect shot radiators and windows out of semi-tractor trailers while in a moving vehicle.

A tip came in saying the suspect vehicle was spotted in the Chilliwack area. The suspect remains in police custody, according to a media release.

Reports of shots fired came in from near Houston, Burns Lake, Vanderhoof, Clucuz Lake, Prince George, Quesnel and 100 Mile House between 8:30 p.m. on March 24 and 2:45 a.m. on March 25, according to the release.

The suspect vehicle was a four-door, blue, 2009 Dodge Caliber described as dirty, with Ont. plate CAVM918.

"We are urging all commercial truck drivers to inspect their vehicles and report any damage you feel is suspicious in nature to your local police department immediately," Cpl. Madonna Saunderson says.
