OLIVER - The RCMP's Emergency Response Team fired a gas shell into an Oliver home to bring an over 10 hour standoff with a wanted fugitive to an end this week.
Cpl. Dan Moskaluk says in a media release RCMP surrounded the residence in the Primrose Lane and 3 Road area at about 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 14 where they had confirmed Dillon Cote, 23, and a female accomplice were inside.
Cote was wanted on a Canada wide Canada wide parole revocation warrant.
After over ten hours, RCMP used gas to flush the pair out of the residence.
"Cote and a female refused to exit the home until around 4 a.m., when police utilized a distraction method and gas shell to force them out of the home," Moskaluk says in the release. "The pair was uninjured as a result."
