RCMP arrest another suspected thief in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS – Kamloops RCMP have arrested another suspected thief attempting to break in to vehicles.

RCMP say a resident spotted a man peering into vehicles this morning, Dec. 10, on Courtney Cresent and called police.

The man fled the scene when police arrived but was tracked down by Zak the police dog, according to a media release.

RCMP recovered a backpack from the suspect, which contained numerous items, including several wallets, officers believe where stolen from cars.

The 19-year-old arrested will be in court at a later date to face charges.

Several people have been arrested recently for stealing from vehicles.

Earlier this week, three teenage boys were arrested with stolen merchandise in upper Sahali and a 40-year-old older man was breaking into cars in Brocklehurst.
