OKANAGAN - We can expect cooler and wetter days this long weekend, with temperatures expected to remain in the teens and at least a chance of rain nearly every day.

Environment Canada is calling for a high of 19 Celsius today, May 20, several degrees below the seasonal normal high temperature of 22 C. Saturday through Monday the mercury is expected to hit between 17 C and 19 C.

While daytime temperatures are expected to be below normal, overnight lows are expected to stay above the seasonal normal of 8 C, with lows of just 11 C or 12 C expected this weekend.

Along with the cooler temperatures during the day is mainly cloud cover and at least a chance of rain every day through Sunday. The chance of showers varies from 40 to 60 per cent through Saturday afternoon, with rain expected to fall Saturday night and during the day Sunday. The snow level is also expected to lower to 1,700 metres today.
