Public to have another chance at comment on Ajax

KAMLOOPS – Following proposed changes to the Ajax mine, members of the public will get a second chance to comment this November.

Members of the public and Kamloops city council have been requesting more information since a series of open houses held by KGHM Ajax last June.

In addition to public comment forums, the Environmental Assessment Office plans to host a public session to explain the assessment process and provide more information on the mine's application.

Venue and dates will be announced before the start of the public comment period.

This spring, KGHM Ajax Mining is expected to submit an environmental application to the Ministry of Environment outlining the potential impacts of the mine.
