KAMLOOPS - Gateway Casinos is offering residents a look at the plans for a new casino just off the highway in Aberdeen.

Plans to move the Lake City Casino to the old Rona location at 1555 Versatile Dr. are underway and early next week the company will host open houses to show just what the plans are so far.

The 50,000 square foot complex, located on nearly 6.5 acres, would house multiple food and beverage outlets, all season patios, a restaurant, outdoor amphitheatre and free parking alongside the gaming floor of the future Cascades Casino.

The company has already purchased the property and is now working with the city on the development proposal, including the submission of a rezoning application.

Open houses will be held Monday, May 12 from 3:30-5:30 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Tuesday, May 13 from 9-11 a.m. and 1-3 p.m. at the old Rona location on Versatile Drive.
