Police seize three motorcycles when riders caught doubling up on the speed limit

LANGLEY, B.C. - They may have been born to be wild, but three young Harley Davidson riders are probably regretting that today.

Police in Langley, B.C., seized the men's motorcycles on Sunday after an officer clocked the trio going 130 kilometres per hour in a 60 zone.

Police say the officer had pulled a vehicle over when he heard the distinctive roar of the motorcycles coming down the road and aimed his laser unit at the bikers.

When the officer stepped out to stop the group, two of the three came to a quick stop, but the third, less experienced rider left a 50-metre skid before he dropped his bike on the road.

The man was treated at the scene by ambulance workers and didn't need to go to hospital.

The motorcycles will be held for a week, and each of the men who range in age from 22 to 24, will pay fines of $368.
