Police seek witness of Home Hardware lot incident

KELOWNA - RCMP would like to talk to an elderly woman who was nearly struck by a car during a police pursuit two weeks ago.

Mounties stopped a Silver Saturn SL1 outside Home Hardware located at 1650 Springfield Road. The 32-year-old driver was wanted on outstanding warrants and police believed the man was evading capture.

Officers used their vehicles to box the Saturn in, but the suspect sped away, hitting a police car and narrowly missing an elderly woman who was walking in the parking lot.

RCMP would like help finding the woman so they can speak with her.
