Police seek help in identify attempted robbery suspects

PENTICTON - RCMP are asking the public’s assistance in finding three attempted robbery suspects who tried to steal a man’s wallet Tuesday evening.

A 34-year-old male victim was walking alone near the McLaren Arena on Duncan Avenue when three males in a white two-door Honda Civic approached him demanding he turn over his wallet, according to a media release.

The victim refused and an altercation insued, but the victim was able to get away. He describes one of the suspects as being in his mid-20s, Asian or Hispanic, black hair, about 5’10”, 160 lbs, and wearing a dark hoodie. He did not get a good look at the other suspects, however he told police he is certain they were males.

RCMP are asking that anyone with information contact the Penticton Rcmp at 250-492-4300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or text “SOSTIPS” to 274637.
