VERNON – RCMP are investigating the suspicious death of a man found in a Vernon apartment this morning.

Police say the man's body was found in a unit at a building at around 11:30 a.m., today, July 19, in the 2900 block of 43 Avenue.

“On attendance, police confirmed that the adult male was deceased,” Cpl. Dan Moskaluk says in a media release. “Preliminary findings lead officers to believe that the man’s death is suspicious in nature.”

Investigators remain on scene questioning neighbours at the Sundance Suites near W.L. Seaton Secondary School.

On May 15, a 45-year-old man was stabbed in the same apartment building and taken to hospital in serious condition.

Anyone with information regarding today's suspicious death is asked to contact the Vernon RCMP at 250-545-7171 or via Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
