UPDATE: Coquihalla Highway reopens

THOMPSON-OKANAGAN - Drive B.C. says Highway 5 between Merritt and Hope reopened at about 5:47 p.m., Monday, March 20 following a police incident which involved the landing of a B.C. Air Ambulance.

There are no details about what sort of police incident closed the highway at Coldwater Road.

THOMPSON-OKANAGAN – Highway 5 between Merritt and Hope is closed because of a police incident.

Drive B.C. says the Coquihalla Highway is closed at the Kingsvale exit 256 or Coldwater Road. There is no estimated time of opening.

An air ambulance is involved, according to a Tweet from B.C. Transporation.

There are no details about what sort of police incident has closed the highway.
