PENTICTON - Penticton teen Nikolas Filipovic will star in the TV miniseries Gracepoint which also features Hollywood stars David Tennant and Nick Nolte.

Gracepoint is a remake of the British crime drama, Broadchurch, which also had Tennant in the lead role. Gracepoint has already begun production work in Victoria.

This is Filipovic's latest acting gig. He has had parts in the post-apocalyptic sci-fi series Falling Skies, TV movies The Carpenter's Miracle, Goodnight for Justice: The Measure of a Man and the sci-fi series Fringe.

Nolte has had a long acting career. The 72-year-old played everything from a cop in 48 Hours to a Marine in The Thin Red Line and a supposed grizzled Vietnam veteran in the action-comedy Tropic Thunder.

Tennant is a well-known stage actor and arguably most famous for playing the lead role in Doctor Who as well as for starring in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and the remake of Fright Night.
