Penticton sets up reception centre for fire evacuees

PENTICTON - Penticton is prepared to look after wild fire evacuees following the set up of a reception centre at the Penticton Community Centre.

Penticton Emergency Support Services opened the centre yesterday, July 16, with the intention of helping residents of central B.C. communities evacuated from Williams Lake and other communities.

The centre opened to 500 evacuees from Willams Lake.

Register in person at the Penticton Reception Centre if you are an evacuee requiring lodging and food vouchers.
