Penticton man facing multiple gun charges for shooting incidents

A Penticton man faces a dozen charges stemming from two shooting incidents on Jan. 9, 2017.

PENTICTON - A Penticton man allegedly involved in two shooting incidents in Penticton last week made a courtroom appearance today.

Harley Maxwell Mcbride faces a dozen weapons charges stemming from two incidents that occurred on Jan. 9.

In one of those incidents a man was taken to hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound.

Mcbride, who appeared in court via video this morning, Jan. 16, had his bail hearing adjourned as he continues to seek representation.

Police allege two men entered the home of an individual on Martin Street early on Jan. 9, assaulting the man and firing a shot before fleeing the residence.

A few hours later, it is alleged the same men were involved in an incident on Eckhardt Avenue where a 24 year old man was taken to hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound.
