Parks closed in Kamloops due to fire concerns

KAMLOOPS – The City of Kamloops has closed eight nature parks due to the concern of fires.

The nature parks have been closed on the order of the Fire Chief as of this afternoon, July 8. No bike, pedestrian or vehicle traffic is allowed.

The parks that have been closed are:
• Kenna Cartwright Park
• High Canada park
• Rosehill Park
• Peterson Creek Park
• Valleyview Nature Park
• Capilano Park
• Highland Park
• Dallas/Barnhatvale Park

If the public spots a fire in Kamloops, call 911 immediately.

No word on when the closure will be lifted.
