KELOWNA - The annual Okanagan College Half Marathon and 10K running race will be held on Sunday, April 3.

Approximately 500 participants will start at Okanagan College (KLO Campus) at 8 a.m. and will run north along Ethel Street to Birch Avenue as they make their way downtown along the lakefront to Knox Mountain before returning to Okanagan College along the same route. Runners are expected to complete the race by noon.

Intermittent one-lane closures will be in effect for eastbound traffic from 7:55 a.m. to 8:25 a.m. on Raymer Avenue from Campus Way to Richter Street, and for southbound traffic on Ethel Street from Raymer Avenue to Birch Avenue. Possible minor disruptions in transit service may occur along Ethel Street and Raymer Avenue.

Motorists can also expect delays from 8:15 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the intersection of KLO Road and Casorso Road, and at KLO Road and Campus Road West as runners will be crossing; the lights will be flashing.

Traffic control personnel will be visible and motorists are advised to watch for participants along the route.
