SPALLUMCHEEN - A well-known roadside attraction in Spallumcheen has new owners.

The Log Barn 1912 has been bought by a Vancouver-based company, according to a news release from Pacific M&A and Business Brokers, a firm that helped put the deal together.

“The Log Barn 1912 will now be better than ever. The new ownership is focused on building the business and its community involvement. Under previous ownership the owners struggled to manage the growth due to lack of capital, which is not unusual for small business owners,” Pino Bacinello, of Pacific M&A and Business Brokers, says. “The new owners are well capitalized to take The Log Barn 1912 to a whole new level, and provide an even greater pleasurable experience to its patrons.”

The Log Barn, a fixture on Highway 97A since 1995, made the news multiple times over the past couple of years due to bylaw and building code infractions.

According to the news release, the owners will continue to provide employment and job opportunities for Spallumcheen and neighbouring areas.

“Though patrons will see mostly familiar faces, the unfamiliar faces behind the scene will be focused on learning and determining the needs of their patrons, to bring a whole new level of product, service, and experience for their patrons,” the release states.
